No facehuggers.

Went out to dinner with my roomie last night. She introduced me to the funky, happenin' Broad Ripple joint that is Naked Tchopstix. Contrary to the name, all staff and diners were clothed.

Good sushi and very friendly service. Prices were reasonable. The decor looks like Buddhist hippies from Planet Ikea gave Ten Forward a remodeling. The presentation on the spider rolls was not what I was used to, however. The little facehuggers were all smooshed up and served atop the roll, rather than reaching up out of its center in all their H.R. Geigeresque splendor, as is traditional. It still tasted like crunchy pureed awesome, though.

Damn. I was all set to eat my ham & cheese sandwich for lunch. Now you've got me thinking seriously about going out for sushi.

Nary a nekked person in sight...that's good for it would be a violation of the state health code except maybe in Kali.

Naked Sushi...isn't that where they serve sushi off a naked girl lying on the table?

Sushi in the Midwest? What's flyover country coming to? (VBEG)

Naked Tchopstix is the only good sushi place in Indianapolis. Plus they have, by far, the best crab rangoons I've ever had (it is one of those "you haven't had it until you've tried theirs" kinda situations).

But the best sushi I've had anywhere (in either "fly to" or "fly over" country) is at Sushi Umi in Terre Haute.

Whew, you had me worried at "Spider Rolls" but soft shell crab I can really get into. There's a restaurant here in Ok City that offers them fried as an appetizer. otherwise I never see them.

Ummmmmmm, spider rolls. I wonder if Stingray can be talked into heading up to Origami's for dinner... far from the best sushi I've ever had, but perfectly serviceable, and more importantly, within fifty miles.

Best I ever had was at Shogun's in Phoenix, which flies its fish in from Tokyo. Expensive, but I wanted to take a bath in that stuff. I've never eaten more fish in one sitting in my life.

Believe it or not, "I Love Sushi" in Fishers is very good. It's on 116th street by the railroad tracks.
Their "Japanese Lasagna" is great.

Umm.. wow. If you ever wonder why I'm here at this hour, it is for, well, all of it, but bits like this in particular. Jim
