Barack Obama supports a federal ban on CCW.

Barry on CCW.

Come on Tam, what do you REALLY think?

The second amendment provides for keeping the citizens of the United States armed. That is, if a tyrant were to be tempted on these shores, the fact that the citizens are armed, and *capable* of removing said tyrant, avoids many messy complications.

The Constitution doesn't make *using* weapons for this purpose legal. But it doesn't make tyrants ("I will take your guns and your money, now!") legal, either.

If you own brain cells and vote for that guy, you're an idiot and should have all unused brain cells auctioned off to the highest bidder. .

For the record, I didn't actually say that I'd vote for him. I merely suggested that I wouldn't vote for McCain, and Obama was the only other choice on the ballot.

I intend to exercise Option Three, same as I did four years ago. One nice thing about Oklahoma is that we're not a contentious state, so I can do what I need to do to sleep at night.

Too bad for Obama it's a state's rights issue.

Ya know what, I couldn't give two licks of a dead wet rat's ass about what's "legal", and it should be quite evident as to why that is, for anyone who has any sort of grasp on the concept of reason.

(bradk, sorry man, I'm not trying to be an ass, just using your quote as an example, here.)

So what happened to the video, did it get to popular? It is "No longer available"!
That would seem like a bias issue to a paranoid person, but we all know that is not possible, right?

Nah, it's just taking a break until after the election.

You know, like Obama's relatives in the Motherland.

After the election, it'll be happy to show itself again.

Which, presumably, will be when the LA Times will be happy to show the Khalidi video tape, and when Obama's transcripts and grades will be released from Harvard, and, you know. Stuff like that.

Tam,

Please listen to the audio again. He doesn't say he supports banning concealed carry of a firearm federally. How is it possible you heard that? Just like the NRA, Obama supports a federal ban on conceal carry laws. Laws, not guns.

If you don't understand what that means, it is understandable.

It means there should be a federal ban on any laws regarding CCW.

Why do you think the NRA isn't going crazy over what people think they are hearing him say? Why isn't the NRA all over this?

Because they 100% support banning federal CCW laws, too. It is up to each state to decide CCW laws. Not the Senate, the House, or the SC, and certainly not any sitting POTUS.

He supports a ban on concealed carry laws which means just whatever the listener thinks it means. Just like everything else he says, this can be taken two ways. That's his great appeal: he mirrors the hopes of the voter without ever having to commit to a firm policy.

If this great nation stumbles and falls for Obama it'll never get back up. Anyone who votes for him is complicit in our demise.

If he had said he "supports a ban on federal concealed carry laws," you might have a point (not a good point, but a point). However, "federal ban of concealed carry laws" has an entirely different meaning from "ban of federal concealed carry laws."
