Overheard in the Kitchen:

Bobbi is heading out for work as I'm headed the other way with a big bag of Meow Mix...

RX: "Kitty must be fed."

Me: "Maybe if I put some kibble in her bowl she'll shut the hell up."

RX: "Poor kitty! Your mommy only feeds you to make you quiet."

Both Together: "Mommy drinks because you cry!"

How about feeding the kitty to keep her from biting you? Or feeding the dogs because they either stare at you from the back door or follow you around the house, on your heels until you submit. Of course Daylight savings time really screws up the dogs mealtime alarm clock.

I guess that I am just a mean bastard.

I almost never get to sleep in on weekends, because the cat cries until I get up and feed her at the normal time. Which is about six in the morning. She's very persistent, very pitiful and very loud, and I think if I died she would eat me, but she's cute so I keep her.

The barn cat screached to make the rain stop this weekend. I think we ended up with 10.14 inches which cramped her mole, vole and mice raiding plans. One very cranky puddy kat.

"Feed me or I'll sit on your keyboard!"
I think Sparrowbane taught The Princess that one. 'Course, what she really, really wants is to perch on my shoulder...

My ex's huge lanky black tom used to perch on his shoulder as though he'd been Long John Silver's parrot in a past life.

Well, since you mention cats, I thought you might find this amusing:

Does it hurt to share a brain like that.

OR do you have moments when you just stare at one another afterwards and back away slowly?

If you need an excuse to drink, that's as good as any.

I've heard the best way to hush a kitteh is, indeed, to feed it... to a boa constrictor.
