Next Year in Indianapolis!

Those of you coming to Indy for next year's NRA Annual Meeting need to make sure you see all the sights: The World War Memorial, the museum out at the track, our beautiful zoo and the nearby state museum, the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, and the armies of FBI agents milling around the halls of the City-County building carting off boxloads of documents.

Seriously, it's getting as busy as the flight deck of an aircraft carrier in there. Pretty soon we're going to need to put colored jerseys on the federal agents so you can tell them apart: Green for the Brizzi investigation, purple for the real estate kickback scandal, beer-bottle brown for anybody still down there investigating l'affair Bisard...

The Chamber of Commerce called.

They'd like you to tamp down the airing of Indianapolis's dirty laundry.

I just moved to the area. Is this awesome timing, or what?

Oh, that's just great! More streets blocked off for the NRA Con! Sigh!

So how much do you think Bobbie would rent her PennyFarthing for that weekend?

The Indy Land Bank started in 2007 under Peterson, although it's difficult to discover that little nugget in Google. It's probably staffed full of Democrat-leaning employees.

And all the blame will fall on Ballard. Sucks to be him.

Now to convince Manda we need to go to Indy for a weekend next year...

Is there a soundtrack? These things are always more fun with a soundtrack.

"Shouldn't we just put them all in brown shirts?"

Because investigating government corruption is JUST like throwing Jews in ovens!

Yet again, I'm glad I neither live nor work down there.

But don't forget to bring the kids and go to the Children's Museum too!

The USS Indianapolis Memorial is worth seeing too.

Can I sleep on your couch for a few nites if I come to the NRA meeting?

Fiftycal: I think I got my bid in first, not that it matters, as Roberta already nixed that idea.

I'm most looking forward to having to dodge out of the way of a liquored up squad car.

I attended services for a while at Church of Our Saviour, a very Anglo-Catholic church near your old stomping grounds in Virginia-Highlands, Tam. It is just across the street from George's Delicatessen, the Lebanese bar and grill.

Father Pettway retired, and was replaced by an annoying hoosier, who later left us for Rome. I really don't care for midwesterners. I don't think I can trust them.

I am, of course, surrounded by midwestern golf trash in this part of Flarduh. My current priest is an Irishman (well, half=Manx) and a good sound Anglican. He reproaches me for being a Sassenach from time to time, but I come right back at him and say that we need some stodgy Saxons for ballast, lest the wild Irish jump up into the heavens and not come back down.
