For the occasional singal or ringtone rap song I want to stick on the iPod for working out, I use iTunes, but for pretty much everything else, I like to buy the physical album. Same with books. Give me a hard copy, go have fun with your Kindle or whatever.

Of course, I have a real reason. My old computer crashed. I found a way to get all my old iTuned music crossed over to the new computer just fine...except for some of my old music. See, some of my old music, well, about $800 worth of songs and a few videos (and by a few I mean every season of Scrubs) was all purchased on my old bank account...the one I used in college.

Well, iTunes wont authorize it unless I give them the account number and the address associated with the account number. So I have $800 worth of music just sitting on my computer that I can't play. FML.

So yeah, I'll keep buying CDs so that when the next computer crashes, its a matter of hours, not (as of this point) months to get it all back.

I still use the iPod for listening to music though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15907727.post-8871572195416560592009-08-25T08:06:17.326-04:002009-08-25T08:06:17.326-04:00"'Smashing Pumpkins would be a lot better..."'Smashing Pumpkins would be a lot better without their lead singer'

except that he writes the band's songs... *rolls eyes*"

Well, daaay-um. I'll do you the favor of reinterpreting that sentence as it was probably intended:

"Smashing Pumpkins would be a lot better if their lead singer found someone else to sing."

I don't know about you, but I would assume that someone who doesn't like the vocals probably isn't familiar with the band's interworkings.
