Not metal, at least.
Since I took a chunk of .22 in the face, from a beginner shooter two slots over, I've not been very happy to see those steel hangers at the local indoor ranges. One of the reasons I seldom go anymore. At this point, I only go if I need to function check some gun work. I've had a set of Scotty downriggers on order since Christmas and they are still on backorder with no estimated ship date.

As for recoil therapy, I just hoisted a post at my blog about how damned satisfying it is to hear that gong go off at 986 for the first time in a trip - no telling how many rounds it took for me to finally hit it (eight. It was eight rounds)but damn that's fun. And the recoil from a 300 winchester magnum provides a lot of therapy.

I've got my brother in law coming out this weekend and he wants to go do a round of sporting clays. It's not easy to get to a range more than every 2 months being a single papa...but I can dry fire. Lots.

If Mittens had somehow gotten the win...my plan was for a 22 "can".
