I can remember, a couple of unwasted crises ago, when heads of major corporations would get up on their hind legs and scratch back. But as things sort themselves out, net income after tax, tax avoidance strategy, attainder avoidance fees, and baksheesh always works out to +1 instead of -1, and they go ahead and do business. The DJIA does not continue to go down 300 a day, even when the commies take over.<BR/><BR/>After a decade or so, Republicans support Social Security, Conservatives support state schooling ("Our Schools"), rightists support mandatory public service. We're witness to a sad chapter, but it's not the first or last. Not a tenth of these bold threateners will act, and most of those will relent--especially those who have to pay taxes in their adopted homelands. It's how business works.
