Leu...It's most likely a leucistic male mallard. Leucism is similar to albinism (white with pink eyes) but basically it results in less melatonin (coloration pigment) being deposited instead of none. More accurately (and I had to look this up) your mallard there is what's referred to as "pied leucistic" - it has normal coloration in some areas but white in others. If it was its normal color but pale all over it would be a "pale leucistic."
