As noted, "nowhere to run, nowhere to hide." Disturbing, even if I did know, intellectually, that the terrain was uneven enough to have folds and gullies and the like to hide in.

Of course, the terrain to the west was disappointing, too; Pike's Peak is only a couple of hundred feet shorter than Mt Rainier, but the former is usually brown even in dead of winter, but Rainier is snow-capped year-'round.Dranghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08082177597135236652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15907727.post-55426736407235452142011-10-10T00:16:01.802-04:002011-10-10T00:16:01.802-04:00We used to say "Turn around three times, and ...We used to say "Turn around three times, and you're lost!"Don Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06057058763094040058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15907727.post-32404723405264053732011-10-09T22:03:29.905-04:002011-10-09T22:03:29.905-04:00Job interviewing in the midwest and northmidwest, ...Job interviewing in the midwest and northmidwest, I found good reason to move to North Carolina instead- a horizon I didn't feel like slashing my wrists on.Vaaroknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15907727.post-73189806635175695282011-10-09T15:15:05.179-04:002011-10-09T15:15:05.179-04:00When I moved to Texas from North Carolina, I had s...When I moved to Texas from North Carolina, I had strangely claustrophobic feelings on cloudy days, because the clouds were too darn low.

Hopefully you can experience that for yourself whilst out in the bestr approximation of Flatland that exists on this earth.Mikeenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15907727.post-57381525461607144302011-10-09T13:10:41.005-04:002011-10-09T13:10:41.005-04:00Looks like home sweet home.
