Boomsticks: No Ammo Love.

So, my clever promo for Ammo Day was a flop. Not one person took advantage of the 10% off coupon. There goes my Marketer of the Year award...

More disturbing was the fact that on a busy Saturday that was also National Go Buy Some Ammo Day, only one customer came in and specifically stated that's what he was doing.

National Ammo Day.

Hyped all over the Blogosphere.

Busiest gun store in town.

One person who was even aware of it.

Not good.

  1. Maybe they were all getting cases of ammo by mail order.

  2. Sorry, Tam. I'm guessing 99% of your readership is outside of easy driving distance to Knoxville (I'm in suburban Detroit), hence the low/nonexistent turnout. For what it's worth, I did place an order with Double Tap on Ammo Day.

Keep up the good work; your blog is one of my daily reads.

  3. Welcome to it. Not many of my readers are local yokels. I was going to come by but I was on baby duty and didn't want to take a 17 month old to a place with a firing range. She wouldn't react well to the loud noises.

  4. Yeah... somehow I don't think it was possible from Houston.

And it also seems like a lot are mail ordering.

  5. I bought and shot 100 rounds at CCA the night before.

  6. I'm in Northern Virginia. Would have if I could have.

If I bring the coupon in on December 22nd can I get the 10% off deal then???

  7. Part of NAD was to go get 100 rounds and a copy of "Red Dawn" from *walmart*... to send a message, as they do automatic inventory tracking. It was supposed to be simultaneous too.

We'll know if it worked if we see a preponderance of WWB boxes in the trash cans in the coming days :)

  8. Sorry! Too far from the Left coast for a drive...

  9. I would have taken you up on it if I didn't live 2000 miles away. That could be said for the motorcycle, too. Had to be the month after I got back from TN, huh?
