Left to Right: Model 547 9mm, Model 10-8 .38 Special, Model 65-2 .357 Magnum, and a PC13 .357 Magnum.
Most of the old shooters I looked up to when I first got interested in handguns considered these to be just the berries in a CCW gun. Their ideas must have stuck with me, because I still get weak in the knees over these wheelguns in a way I don't over any other pistol.
Beautiful set of wheelguns; I've always had a preference for revolvers (though I do have some autoloaders). My only Colt (most of mine are Ruger Blackhaws), I'm afraid, is a Bisley Peacemaker in 38-40, manufactured in 1984. It still shoots sweet, however.
ReplyDeleteWhoops, make that 1894...
ReplyDeleteI learned handguns with a Model 13 and a Model 65. And I can STILL hip-shoot better with the 65 than anything else.
ReplyDeleteNice guns. My carry gun is a 3" Model 65. My spare carry gun is a 3" Model 13.
