    Why did you cross out SMLE? I thought the only true "Short, Magazine, Lee-Enfield" was the #1 Mk3?

    From what I understand, the #4 Mk is not actually a SMLE.

    Or am I wrong?

    His 1916 Enfield is one of those still marked Sht. L E Mk.III.

    The "No.1 Mk.III" designation did not come about until the '30s. :)
