Me? Milsurp rifles and old Smith wheelguns are going to have to go on hold for a while: The next six to eight months are going to be all about the suppressors and SBR's. I'll be giving the 9mm AR the short-barrel treatment and getting a can for it. I'll also be picking up a .30-cal can for the two Whispers, as well as a 5.56 can for Project Housegun and a Gemtech Outback II because... well... everybody needs a .22 suppressor.
Every now and then I go to mumbling about something with a can on it. More than a 10/22 in .22 rimfire, though.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how loud is the "crack" of a .17 bullet? From either a .17 Mach II or the HMR? :) those work so well on prairie dogs.

Everyone DOES need a .22 suppressor! And a generous tub of molly lube. For, yea, verily, shooters shall not live by Militec-1 alone.

ReplyDeleteSince you're tossing a suppressor on a 9mm, does that mean you'll have to stick to shooting the heavier 147 grain bullets at subsonic velocities for the least amount of noise?
Also: I've been jonesing for a suppressed Ruger MkII in the worst gorram way.
You know, I have little fantasy's over some awful person planning something nasty for our heroine here, reading this blog, and realizing half way through how very dangerous to his continued healthy existence his plans are.

What are the current laws on suppressers? I thought they were Class III or something.
