Boomsticks: Time for a change.
I think I'll dump all my Smiths and 1911s and stock up on Glocks. After all, the former two are low-capacity guns unlikely to be threatened by any renewed AWB. Mag capacity: that's where it's at.
If you think a decent 1911 costs a whole months salary, you need to get a better job. 2 weeks pay with money left over for grub and a few beers is more like it for a nice custom Brown or Wilson.
But then again I drive a 13 year old truck and the wife drives a 20 year old car so maybe its just financial management.
Heh. That logic is exactly why I may keep my P220 stashed away. I really like my XD45, but the P220 should be AWB proof.
Granted, I'm a heathen by your standards. I have one smith, a recent vintage 638 with CT grips, and no plans to buy another. For a full-size revolver my GP100 fills my needs nicely.
Taurus buying Colt? Can't you just see the board meetings, with arguments over which is better, the bull or the horse? Aw, well, it's all just used grass, anyway...
Mag capacity? Ain't the idea that the best go-banger is the one with which you best can make that first shot count?
April fools!
ReplyDeleteGood one. Did you hear the reports about Taurus buying Colt? Unfortunately, Xavier posted about it on Friday, so it may not be a joke..
ReplyDeleteDamn.........I was getting in line!
ReplyDeleteI thought at first you might have a fever...and then I saw the date.
ReplyDeleteGood one.
Good idea! Isn't it great to have a pistol that works out of the box without additional tinkering and doesn't cost a whole month's salary?
ReplyDeleteHAR!
ReplyDeletePDB,

Don't forget to post a pic of your left handed M&P! I've got dibs onthat one!
ReplyDeleteSell off your 1911s and Smiths? Uh huh. I'll be holding my breath for sure.
