Boomsticks: Gratuitous Gun Pr0n No. 44
Model 1955 Target made in 1956, 6.5" heavy barrel, with target hammer and target trigger. It's chambered in .45ACP using moon clips, has factory target stocks, and shoots okay for a fifty-one-year old gun.
Very nice, Tams! Have you taken off the stocks? I'm curious if it came with the W-shaped mainspring. I got my first 1955 Target Model in either late '67 or early '68, and it had the variant spring. I've had a couple of other pre-model 25s since, and both had the conventional springs.

ReplyDeleteBest,

With full-moon clips, that will make a top of the line pin-shooting revolver.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gun; looks like someone took good care of it.
ReplyDeleteHey, watch what you say about fifty-one year olds!
ReplyDeleteNice one!
ReplyDeleteI have one just like it, but I put Cokes on mine for a bit of better grips.
Enjoy it. Truly amazing accuracy and quality in those revolvers
It's been a while since I had the stocks off, but IIRC it had the flat mainspring. I'll double check tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteNow back to your mill, you. No more distractions!
Like cats.
They certainly don't make them like that anymore.
