Flintlocks and Flop-tops
And Number Three Russians
Black-powder Mausers
From jackbooted Prussians,
Shiny Smith PC's from limited runs
These are a few of my favorite guns.
Socketed bay'nets
On Zulu War rifles,
Engraved, iv'ried Lugers
That make quite an eyefull
Mosin tomato stakes sold by the ton
These are a few of my favorite guns.
Rusty top-breaks!
Smallbore Schuetzens!
And all of Browning's spawn
I just keep on browsing my favorite guns
Until all my money's gone.
I'll probably drag along a few things that are kinda surplus to requirements at the moment, like my 9mm AR and a German WWI horse atillery saber, and see what I can find that I just can't live without. Maybe I'll see you there. :)
Damn, it's nice to have you back.
ReplyDeleteIm coming myself. gotta dump this damn taurus i have and get something thats approved for off duty carry
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun, but I'm all booked up beating and choking people today. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the song. Ahh, I can just hear Julie Andrews' silky voice singing as she whirls on a mountaintop....
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous. San Antonio has a gunshow next week, but I am not going to go due to money constraints....though I did pick up a nice K31 last time. Hmmm...maybe I should work on filling out the paperwork for that C&R license in the meantime....
ReplyDeleteGreat song!
I spent all my gun money on dirt, mulch, railroad ties and shrubbery, but I'm tempted to go just to nose around.
ReplyDeleteTam, you ain't right!
ReplyDeleteI like that in a woman.
Good to have you back.

I went. I was mildly naughty.
ReplyDeleteAnd the verification word for this comment is gnkwik.
I thought you just built that 9mm AR... did it not work out?
ReplyDeleteGunshow, the Musical! I gotta get the DVD.
ReplyDeleteA bit far for me to go. After all, I did go to the one in Franklin, TN last week. Scored another MN 38 (35 long guns and 8 are Mosins. It's a disease I tell ya ;-)and 2 ar lowers. Get'em while they're cheap.
ReplyDeleteI keep slappin' myself upside the head for not getting that Webley .455.
Well, I was able to take a couple of sow's ears and turn them into a silk purse. Sold my Taurus and CZ52 and walked out with a Sig P229 with three low cap mags.
ReplyDeleteI didnt know that they were low cap till I got home. Coulda haggled a few more bucks off the price if Id known...
I sang it to my wife and she laughed and said, "Thats so cute".
ReplyDeleteMike
I love that song - it's so much better (less pukey) than the original.
ReplyDeleteLes has gun-money?? I need to get me some of that. I wanna see a pic of the German WWI saber...
ReplyDeleteI currently have a Mosin Nagant and a Enfield P-17 waiting for me to pick them up. They will go next to my Springfield and Krag completing my collection of rifles issued to US forces during WWI.
ReplyDeleteRather a few folks don't know that the Mosin Nagant was issued to the US forces at Murmask and Vladivostok. They were well used.
And I just got my V-42 (replica) in the mail today. Life is good.
Tam, is this the first posting of these lyrics? In 2013 it's getting around a lot!
