I'm not making this up.
The virility of Canada's image has now slipped past that of, say, Pennsylvania or Michigan, and is hovering down near the level of, say, New Jersey. News stories like this will ensure its continuing slide California-ward.

ReplyDeleteBB Guns are "firearms"? Where's the fire? Do BB Guns of today utilize combustion forces to propel the BB? If not, they aren't "firearms". Perhaps we should start pointing this out to both police and reporters.

Would that count as a "weapons cache", or an "arsenal"? I forget the exact definitions, especially when dealing with BB guns.

Canada's weapons laws are really dumb, and full of catch 22's.
And let's not even get STARTED on the practical legal ramifications of self defense.
Basically: DO NOT engage in self defense unless you have burning urge to go to jail, unless you can really REALLY prove you acted in proportional and reasonable manner (Beating a 19 y.o. gun armed home intruder to death with a wooden spoon if you were ninety five and wheel chair bound, gave clear warning, had him shooting at you on video ... MIGHT qualify.)
I'm exaggerating, but not much.
