Well, you know, I was going to walk into a hospital and commit a capital crime. Uh oh, guess I can't now. The new law says guns aren't allowed in a hospital. And I wouldn't want to break the law while committing a capital crime.
Ulgh, between the Sun Sentinel and the Palm Beach Post, you get all the crazy anti-gun articles you can stand. I'm sure those metal detectors will work great on those patients being wheeled in on metal wheelchairs. :-P
There is a reason the health care industry (formerly known as the medical profession) lines up like Prussian troopers behind gun-ban initiatives. They simply commit more acts, and with such an attitude, that would, in an open society, drive otherwise rational beings to a shootin'.
A similar guilt trip/survival factor may be involved in their anti-smoking ventures.
