Stay away.

I've taken home a jar of delicious pickled garlic cloves.

Dang! These things are so tasty they're like crack for your mouth and...

*urp*

Wow. I didn't know that you could fog up your own eyeballs!

  1. Garlic-stuffed green olives aren't quite as evil, though still hardly recommended for within 24 hours of a Rendevouz.

  2. Snicker!

The cats don't want anything to do with me right now.

I'm going to lay in the hot sun tomorrow just to watch the bugs veer off. :D

  4. You know, those things are glorious in martinis, too. At least the vodka stripe martini I'm partial to. 'specially if you like the martini with the little sludgy bits from the bottom of the jar. And they are anti-oxidants. Just think, you're repelling insects, human unsavories AND cancer all at the same time. Triple threat.

  7. You're a trip, Tamara.

You know, not only are those garlic cloves a delight to the senses, they also ward off all manner of critters like cats, bugs, loved ones, and nosferatu. Plus they're good for you and only pennies a serving.

  9. I got the Dearly Beloved some Habanero Garlic at Drug Emporium a while back. They're made by Gourmet Gardens, Route 5 Box 427; Rusk, TX 75785. www.gourmetgardens.com
    Enjoy!

  10. If you are co-habitating with someone and wish to try the pickled garlic, it's imperative that they eat some too. If you and your schmoopie are both aromatic, it kinda cancels each other out.

  11. Used to stop at a stall at the Nashville's Farmers market and get a jar a week. He had 3-4 different flavors and you can't eat just one ;)

Tip: don't pour out the juice. Buy some fresh, whole mushrooms and let them soak in it for a day or so. More goodness :-q

  12. I once tried some garlic and habanero stuffed olives. Highly addictive! Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint) I haven't been able to find them since.

  13. I've been meaning to make a big batch of them things; like an entire Sam's Club tub's worth. Last time I only put up one pint, and it didn't last long. I've been buying whole pickled garlic from the Hmong grocery, but they are too bland to get excited over.
