AS does have at least one good purpose, besides being fun:
I know several LEOs who use it for training, since their department doesn't have the time/budget to give them proper force on force training. So they use it as practice for clearing a house while being "shot at", and that kind of thing.
Obviously no substitute for the real thing, but it's certainly better than nothing, and better than having a Rubber Duck and saying "BANG" when you want to pretend to shoot.
Given where Airsoft is Really really popular, it should read:
ReplyDelete"Because Your Nanny State won't let you buy a real gun."
Heh. That was actually my thought on first seeing the poster... ;)
ReplyDeleteBut the Nanny state hates Airsoft because they look like real guns and fire a projectile that can damage an eye.
ReplyDeleteThe correct response is:
ReplyDeleteYou'll shoot your eye out!
In the UK, that would be regarded as an arsenal. Or would it be a weapons cache? I'm unclear as to the dividing line between them.

I'd much rather have the pre-teens out in the back yard playing with Airsoft than inside playing video games.
ReplyDeleteBesides what they learn and the fun they have, it freaks out the neighbors. I love that.
OOOOOOOOO FUCK YOU BITCH
ReplyDeletethis is stupid. would you rather have your kids outside shooting at each other with real guns? besides, its a physical sport that inspires teamwork.
