It's okay, they were just ordinary schmucks.

After a whole bunch of people spilled out of a moving vehicle on the set of the latest Tom Cruise flick, a Boche police spokescop said:
"We have no findings to suggest anyone famous was involved in the accident,"

Well, that's okay then...

  1. Is Cruise out on a limb here, trying to prove Hitler was not a Scientologist? Let's presume Godwin's Law cannot be invoked for WWII movies...

  2. LOL, I read that as:

"[Sadly], we have no findings to suggest anyone famous was involved in the accident."

    Maybe next time.

  3. They were probably just "extras". By definition, you won't miss 'em if you lose a few extras.

Now if 11 members of congress were to fall off a truck, that would be something to write about!

  5. It's ok as long as no animals were harmed in the filming of this motion picture.

  6. So did they count Cruise in the "no one famous" category.

  7. He said it poorly, but there's actually a reason to differentiate between famous folks and non-famous folk.

Here in the U.S., "Public Figures," who have thrust themselves into the public limelight, have fewer rights to privacy, with regard to news releases on them. The spokesman may well have said, "I can't tell you about anyone involved in the accident."

But of course, that wouldn't have appeased reporters who just wanted to know if they could put someone's famous name in bold in their articles, stories, and sidebars.

  8. I thought he meant, "Y'all can relax, there weren't any cops or fireman so we won't shut down traffic for two days while we hold a parade in honor of their heroic sacrifice."

  9. Do they do that there?

    They don't here.
