  1. Back in the early 1990's, my brother, my Dad, and I took a trip down to Big Bend. There was no concealed carry in Texas back then, and I wasn't yet a cop, but wandering around through the desert mountains of SW Texas without any kind of pistol seemed silly. I spent that week with a 1908 .380 buried in my right front jeans pocket. That old pocket pistol had almost NO bluing left on it, but was functionally perfect-- just right for carry.

Seems like I always have a soft spot in my heart for any pistol that I've ever carried as a main gun.

Yup. A 1904-vintage and a 1905 model. One looker, one shooter.

I'm falling madly in love with these old Browning pocket pistols. The man was a friggin' genius.
