A movie is being made about the My Lai massacre.
Three guesses who's making it.
Please, Ollie, give it a rest. We know you were in Vietnam. We know you think it sucked. But for Vishnu's sake, can't you make a movie about something other than all the horrible baby-raping mother-killers for once?
Its kind of sad when someone who used to be famous continues to beat the same old dead horse in order to continue to be relevant.
ReplyDeleteThe baby boomers used to complain about how the generation that fought WWII would go on and on about that war. The baby boomers grew up 10 to 20 years after WWII ended.
ReplyDeleteIt has now been 33 years since the final pull out from Vietnam. Since Vietnam ended , people have been born, grew up, married and had their own children. It is ancient history. I barely remember that war and I'm in my 40's. Time to give it a rest.
Well, Brian DePalma beat him to the punch on the rape and murder of that 14 year-old Iraqi girl and the murder of her whole family by some army grunts, so what other choice did he have?
ReplyDeleteSam, careful what you ask for. I, for one, am not looking forward to Brian dePalma's "300."
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, I wouldn't mind so much except for the part about it being from the Persians' point of view...
Oliver Stone and Thucydides may actually have one or two points in common.
ReplyDeleteOliver Stone apparently hasn't made enough bom... I mean 'movies' with his particular spin I see.
ReplyDelete/yawn
Thucydides didn't exaggerate THAT much
ReplyDeleteThey gotta do something. Too many people in this country are starting to believe it might be possible to "win" in Iraq.
