  1. Maybe he can make a package deal for Billy the Kid's 1911 holster?

  2. He was probably looking for "one" M1 Carbine from the second World War.

  3. Apparently it's easy to confuse the wars.
A friend runs a quasi-historical site near here. Group of college photo students came down from Chicago. One had a Nikon F1 (classic, 'Nam era SLR) on her shoulder.
Friend commented on it, and she told him her Grandfather brought it home from the Big War. He looked puzzled and clarified for him, "Vietnam."

  4. That's nothing. I still got my Great great grandfathers Browning Automatic Rifle from the Civil War. It mowed down a mess a Confederates at Bull Run.

  5. jove, screaming in pain here. I'm sure it would have been no match for the FN my great-great granduncle was issued by Lafayette.

Paging Mr. Pedersen: Anything about that "device" you haven't shared with the class?
