Waiting for everyone to awaken. I'm always the first up and wait for all the slug-a-beds to get with the program. This year youngest son has returned from DC for the holidays, so only have one of the kids at home. Oldest son will show up some time, probably before anyone else gets up.
Tam, have a Merry Christmas. Everyone else, do the same.
I'll be going over to my parents later this morning. For now I'm wandering around my house finding things to do. I just finished giving the cats a big dose of catnip and handing a treat to the dog.
Overall my first Christmas as a newly minted (12/13/07) 39 year old widower kinda sucks actually.
Yup, now that the kids are big, or AWOL, there's no immediate need to be up at Oearly-thirty. I've had my coffee and I'm headed out to shovel snow in a few minutes. THen maybe the BSU will be up and ready to unwrap some packages.
Hey, I'm not doing anything until this afternoon, but my troops keep texting me with holiday greetings and it woke me up. Don't they know I have 15 months of sleeping in to catch up on?
Ah, since it is so late when I actually looked at the blogs today, I feel I am not addicted, on a normal day it would have been five in the morning. I missed you only a little and glad you understand how weak I am. Happier Holidays!
For me, it's the eve of a long day. All of the kids and grandkids have left for home. I get to see others through this week, including one of my sons just back from Iraq.
Tomorrow I plan on geting in touch with E.T.S. inc. about MY present. A .22 suppressor! weeeee!
Mostly just another workday for me, except I only got an hour's sleep due to doing the Christmas morning routine with my folks, sister, & niece, and I'm working a double shift this evening & night. Holiday pay & overtime for the win! (Where win=Kimber if it's still in the consignment case come payday...)
Hey, that two hours of solitude before the brats and grandbrats showed up yesterday was all I had in the past three days. After the news, you're my first stop - can't stop by without saying MC&HNY!!! :)
Heh.
ReplyDeleteChristmas was last Saturday, well at least for me. That's when we agreed to have the big family hoedown.
I'm sure everyone without kiddies is on teh interwebz this morning. Makes me wish I'd put some content up.
Standard Mischief
First batch of family has left for a few hours. Second batch of family will be here in 45 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my morning routine of a Clif Bar, a Mountain Dew, and blogs.
I'm not much for breaking out of a routine.

Bright Yule blessings, Tam.
ReplyDeleteIrrespective of holidays, my morning isn't complete without strong coffee, Prickly City, Fark, and VFTP.
ReplyDeleteBesides, my family is in 3 states, none of them being the one I live in.
Plus, I didn't get the Instalanche I was hoping for.
Guess I'll go shovel some snow.

ReplyDeleteGeez, I was up, online, and off to the wilds of deep east Texas before you posted, Tam.
ReplyDeleteMerry Yule, one and all. My new toy account has been funded for the year, as of today. I love bonuses.
Title II for the house, barkeep!
