They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is why we're screwed, in 1,000 words or less:
Yes, you're reading it right. On CNN this morning more people were interested in who got custody of Britney's kids than in who got custody of "The Button".
I agree...
ReplyDeleteBread and circuses, in the classic terms.
This was my rant of the morning at work. I have my data device set to receive Headlines from CNN & Fox. This morning I had 10+ headlines about BS and 2 about the button. I think CNN & Fox are skewing your results a little by there decisions on what equals news.
ReplyDeleteThe hell of it is, some of them are the people doing the voting in November.
ReplyDeleteThat is outragous!
ReplyDeleteWho's britany?
I read The Superficial (I heart drama, it's why I watch soaps) so I'm biased - but CNN's headlines last night had everything I needed to know about the caucuses right there on the front page, whereas there was merely a teaser line item for the Britney thing. Just one thought on why Britney might get more clicks than a caucus article.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope this says more about who gets their news from the [C]ommunist [N]ews [N]etwork than it does about the population in general.
ReplyDelete...but I'm not holding my breath.
Custody? Why, did she die?
ReplyDeleteThis should tell you how much attention I pay to her antics that I can honestly say that not only do I not know if she's alive, I don't really find it of interest, either.
I've been leaving her alone like that kid on YouTube wanted.
ReplyDeleteIsn't politics just another form of Rich White Trash Newsertainment?
