C-c-c-c-c-cold!

Sixteen degrees outside.

And they're only those little bitty Fahrenheit degrees too, not great big metric ones.

  1. Small dog got stuck when it squatted on the lawn this morning. So big dog peed on it to get it unstuck.

Good Tigger! Have a milk bone!

    17 here.... and windy

  2. Yeah. It's 12 down here around Nashville. Getting ready to go to work for a bit. Time for monthly server maintenance.

Part of me wants to go to the range today. The rest of me says "What are you, stupid?"

  3. 16 degrees? Hmph.

When you go out of a morning to head for work and find your car on strike because the temperature last night hit that roundest of numbers, then you can complain about the cold.

  4. Is there one of those little "-" signs in front of that "16"? From sunny Minnesnowta...low this morning was -15. Yes, degrees-F.

That lake in front of your place that you posted the beautiful picture of a while ago...does it ice over? We get to drive on our lakes come this time of year.

  5. Hay, at least y'all are warmer than we are....0 degrees out (and that is WITHOUT the wind chills. Even my Siberian Husky didn't want to stay outside longer than the time it took her to do her "business" this morning. (And she usually LIKES to stay out and play when it gets cold out)

  9. Gosh isn't global warming great!

Just think how bad it would be without it...

  10. What chimney do I need to smoke to become the new pontiff of Eco-Catholicism? Told friends and family back in summer that we'd have a cold winter. They now think I'm a better eco-foretokener than Pope Gore.

Cripes, we always have a coldish winter after a bad drought...

  12. It's up to 16 here, too, and so help me, it feels balmy outside. It's probably just the bright sun playing games with me, though.

  14. 16F? Wow, that's as cold as up in the mountains near Sjusjøen during a snowstorm!

Here near Stuttgart temps are in the mid-fifties and I almost lost all hope for any snow this winter.

  15. It feels about as cold as the pics in that postcard, only with NO SNOW!

(Not that I'm bitter about the lack of snow or anything...)

  16. Just as well, Tam. God only knows how many the illegals would kill trying to drive in it. They have a hard enough time as it is in heavy rain.

  17. Criminey, does *everything* have to be political?

Can't we talk about the damned weather, and our expectation of the joy that is snow, without criticizing someone from across the aisle, or someone who, if they followed the rules, would be across the border?

For just. One. Second. Put on some cocoa, and appreciate that, in fact it's cold, and.... and nothing.

  18. Na na na NAAAH na! Tam gets no snoooow-oh!
