Just like the Toyota's made in Kentucky. However, the profits for foreign made vehicles go directly to the company responsible for the design. I remember when the BMW plant was built. It was supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread for folks up there. But things change. I wonder how those folks like their golden handcuffs.
Ah! See, when you said "American Made", I thought you meant "American Made", not "Detroit-built piece of UAW-supporting crap".
No matter how many American flags one puts on a turd, it's still a turd. When I bought this car, my requirements were for a sports car, preferably a convertible, that would go 10 years/100,000 with no major repairs or overhauls, interior trim bits falling off, or squeaks and rattles developing. The only vehicles the Big Three make that will do that are pickups and Crown Vics, neither of which appeal to me.

Sorry to say I haven't purchased a "car" in more than 25 years.
Although the Crown Vic's can be had with some very "sporty" engines.
Glad you moved away from selling cars. I hate to think someone I value's opinion is one of those...
