Oyez! Oyez!

Those of you who have already put away your pins and needles will need to get them back out and sit on them for at least another twenty-four hours.

No Heller today.

This post is adjourned.

  1. You'd think they were selling ads with those opinions the way they're stringing Heller out.

  2. Hey, why make a ruling about the applicability of the Bill of Rights when they can let Exxon off the hook instead? Let's consider what is important here...

  4. Actually, I'm hoping to be able to go around shouting "Oyez! Oyez!" tomorrow if the decision goes the way we all know it should.

  5. Do you think the release of the opinion could be due to a minority opinion not being ready, or up to snuff?

I don't know what goes on in the negotiations between Justices, but do you ever think the Chief Justice says to another Justice, "What you put in this minority opinion is utter buffoonery, bereft of any legal value. Do it again and do it right, or I think I can get a 5-4 decision that your behavior falls outside the "good behavior" requirement in the Constitution.

  6. Hey, on the upside, all that water means that there'll be more places for catfish to swim around and hide in and more areas where "noodlers" can go catch them.

  7. No pins and needles here.

As a bumper sticker I once read, "The Day The Second Amendment Is Repealed Is The Day The Second Civil War Begins".

    'Nuff said.

  8. Saw some Brady Bunch proto-fascist on Fox claiming that his group is not anti-gun, but pro-common sense. I settled in to watch, but as soon as he said that actual gun manufacturers are putting orange muzzles on their firearms so they look like toys I stomped out.

Assclown. Naturally the interviewer did not back his sad sorry butt against a wall and demand a citation. Which companies? Which firearms?

  9. It is a sad state of affairs when citizens of this nation wait with bated breath to hear whether some black-robed eunuchs deem us worthy to enjoy the rights guaranteed by the Constitution. That bunch has already screwed us on the first amendment, why should we expect any better on the second? The government did not give us the right to keep and bear arms. Thus, they can only take it away if we let them. Just say no!
