I hope you enjoy your flixperience. I can't even remember the last time I saw a movie in a theater. The nearest one is 120 miles and so I have to settle for Netflix.
IMAX tends to disorient me, too, Breda. I just walk careful 'til I can sit. Last one I was was coverage of Shannon Lucid (who I wanna be if I grow up) on space station Mir. Totally worth it.
I hope your experience is better than mine. The wide screen extends well into my motion-sensitive peripheral where the 24 Hz strobe is very distracting--especially when combined with full-frame motion. I must be terribly spoiled by 60 Hz television and computers...
I was lucky enough to be just high enough and far enough back to where I could see the whole screen without moving my head. Best seat in the house, probably.
I can't even walk into an IMAX room without feeling nauseous, movie or not. With absolutely no horizon, I get all discombobulated and woozy.
ReplyDeleteI missed my chance to see it on Friday with the guys. Stupid allergies...
ReplyDeleteIMAX + The Dark Knight = awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat is all.

ReplyDeletePrediction: Tam's gonna like it.
My partner at work says that it's phenomenal. Like a religious experience without the guilt. Can't wait to read your take on it.

ReplyDeleteWorth seeing a second time, eh?
ReplyDeleteWell, hell. I may have to go see the damned movie, then. You and just about everybody else seem to think so. (I see very few movies in theatre.)
