Don't know much about Appleseed, but I made Applesauce in my friend's apple orchard with my .22 cal. pellet rifle using hollow point pellets, shooting off-hand. That should attract some deer.
Don't know which is funnier - the title of this post, or your line in the previous one, "... Buddhist hippies from Planet Ikea gave Ten Forward a remodeling"
Yes, I am working on getting that Long Gun (M1), thinking of modifying it just a bit to look like the Pennsylvania Kentucky Rifle of old - not sure how yet, but it will come to me.
Not a big fan of Fred's cook/rifleman bit, nor of his "AKs are not real rifles" comment, or last but not least his "UN Blue Helmets are coming, quick, what are you gonna do?" schtick.
Learning how to use a rifle (any rifle) to best advantage? Good.
Please check out my comment over at The Armed School Teacher on the Appleseed Program. I have been to a few this year and what you are describing does not happen. If you want to dig it up from old SN columns you can, but it is not part of the Appleseed program.
Tam,
Ladies shoot free for the remainder of the year, would love to have you up to Wabash or down to E'ville. Junior shooters (under 21) and current military always shoot free.

ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the "Buddhist hippies..." zinger. Were the waitresses dressed like Guinan?
ReplyDeleteTam, you DO have a side of the barricade: those who seek to ban guns are on the other side.

Inciting paranoia? Not so good.
