Everything old is new again...

If you're a real 1911 geek you should appreciate the following factoids:

1) The Colt 1902 has a bushingless coned barrel.
2) The Colt 1902 has a ramped barrel.
2) The Colt 1900 has double, nested recoil spring a la the Detonics or Delta Elite.

Everything old is new again. :)

  6. All confirming my opinion that nothing really fascinating has changed in firearms in about a 100 years. They keep re-packaging the same tricks trying for some minor advantage, or fill some niche. 50 years ago they figured out personal "automatic" guns, but that was a minor evolutionary chnage. ( effective, but minor)

But basically the technology is dead stable and the only chnages have been "non firearm" related. Better sights, minor better undertanding of ergonomics, slightly better alloys/materials.

Waiting fer my ray gun , dammit all

  8. So ... when are you going to drill it and put on a rail?

Maybe after you have it gold plated and get pearl grips?
