...as part of his plan to put a bullet between the eyes of any potential economic recovery, has stated that even though it has been proven that an increase in capital gains tax is followed by a loss of revenue to the .gov, he would support raising it anyway in the interest of "fairness".
I would like to take this moment to note that "fair" is nothing but a word in the dictionary between "fail" and "fantasy".
Best explanation of political "fairness" was stated by former S&W factory shooter Tommy Campbell when he said "Only Democrats and little children complain about something being UNFAIR."
ReplyDeleteNuff said.

This is the guy whose plan for converting us to "clean energy" and "ending global warming" is to tax the coal industry into bankruptcy. Quote/unquote.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, did you hear the arctic ice is back to normal this fall? Growing ta record rates?
It's not fair that I don't look like Brad Pitt.
ReplyDeleteIt's not fair that I was born the son of a cop rather than the son of a millionaire.
It's not fair that I didn't have a pony as a child.
It's not fair that I probably won't get to go hunting this year.
It's not fair that my friend's daughter was born without feet.
It's not fair that people are born in countries that are not even a shadow as great as this nation.
However, that is how it is. And while we can disrupt the status quo, it's easier to increase entropy than construction, if one blunders about.
Lots of stuff isn't fair. The question is whether you whine about it, condemn or tax it in order to level the playing field, or actually do something constructive to raise yourself to its level.
ReplyDeleteTaken in order, those would be the reactions of children, Demoncraps, and conservatives.
Tam, I have noticed that the word "share" usually means someone wants take something.
ReplyDelete"his plan to put a bullet between the eyes"
ReplyDeleteoh, what an unfortunate (and funny!) metaphor...wouldn't want to sully those effete, delicate hands...and sensibilities!
much better to have his "detail" do the bullet-puttin'...figuratively and literally.

Well of course. Obama can't be bothered with pesky facts (like say the fact that tax revenue goes down when you raise capital gains) That would destroy the ideology he clings to so dearly.......and it's not FAIR Damnit!
ReplyDeleteAnd people wonder why I can't stand liberals.
As has been mentioned, he DOESN'T CARE if it decreases revenue. His goal isn't to increase revenue, but so "spread the wealth." He'll spread it right overseas. I wonder where the "poor" will find jobs when the companies shut down...Oh, that's right, he'll take $ from the "wealthy" and "spread" it to them...
ReplyDeletehehe, word ver.: "goustink"
That's about right.
Most folks who have anything like a realistic world view figured out that life wasn't fair and it wouldn't ever get better sometime in their early teens, about the time they started developing abstract thinking skills.
ReplyDeleteAnecdotal evidence suggests that most leftist "emoters" never go to that point in their emotional and intelectual development, which would explain a lot.
For the few that did, "fair" in the leftist lexicon is a euphemism used when they want to take something you've worked for and give it to someone who hasn't.
I tried to make that "fairness" point in another context about "social justice" - that culturally speaking it doesn't and can't exist, that Anthropologically it's a societal impossible. It's a chimera, a figment of fevered imagination that only exists among Teh Faithful - it's up there in the air with the clouds of incense and invisible sky-friends - and of course some Liberal took it completely wrong and started his own soliloquy about Society and a bunch of other crap about which he has no clue. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteGrampa always said that a fair was where the pretty pigs got slaughtered.
ReplyDelete"fair" is nothing but a word in the dictionary between "fail" and "fantasy". You should be selling t-shirts with that on the front.
