Remember what I said about Bob Barr being willing to bite the head off a live chicken for any party that would make him their presidential nominee? How his newfound "pro-freedom" stance was about as stable as Shirley MacLaine's mental state?
Well, just in case you needed further proof that Bob Barr wouldn't know a civil liberty if he was beating one unconscious with a riot baton, here you go.
(H/T to Sebastian.)
What a shock.
ReplyDeleteNot so much of a shock. I never cared much for Bob Barr to begin with. He is a classic opportunist whose core value change according to prevailing winds.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be a fatal disease to all who spend more than a weekend in the cesspit on the Potomac.
I thought Bob Barr was a better judge of the Constitution than that.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting so tired of hearing about " Republican war crimes " that I'd like to punch the next person in the head...

Crucis, that's the problem with electronic communication. It's hard to signify sarcasm or irony without an emoticon :)
ReplyDeleteI assure you that Bob Barr has failed to shock me for years.
IN 2008 POTUS results:
ReplyDeleteObama 49.9%
McCain 49.0%
Barr 1.1%
Sigh.
Not that it would have mattered in the full race, but at least I wouldn't be hearing the 'Indiana's a blue state!' BS.
If you followed his attitudes towards freedom of religion in the 1990s, you would not be surprised.
ReplyDeleteWV: ghticap -- always worn turned backwards?
Bob Barr a Libertarian? Hmmmm, let's use the three prong test of Libertiness as the Court used in Ron Paul vs. The Purple Water Bong:
ReplyDelete1) Is Bob unemployed or underemployed at in the IT field? Check!
2) Living in his Mom's Baement while wearing facial hair? Check!
3) Sits around watching sci fi and reading books with Deus Ex Machina plot devices? Check!
Conclusion: Bob Barr is a Libertarian and I haven't even seen him in a Wookie suit.
Shootin' Buddy (I kid, I kid)
I think it's safe to say Barr won't be getting my vote for NRA board again.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I held my nose and voted McCain.
ReplyDeleteAny bets McCain's not behind Holder, too?
ReplyDeleteThis last election was a turd sandwich, all 'round.
I have little doubt McCain is a likely yes vote. Sometimes he'll surprise you though. If you looked up squirrely in the dictionary, there'd be a picture of McCain. He's one of those guys who I think the Senate has kind of driven insane. That seems to happen if you're in too long. Specter is crazy too. Kennedy lost his marbles a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteKennedy lost his marbles a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteAssuming he ever had any, that is...
