Brown Trouser Alert, Part Deux...

In which intrepid Lefty bloggers discover the existence of FreeRepublic and promptly fill their skivvies, going into a lather of pestering Secret Service switchboard operators and posting frantic comments back and forth about the nature of the Plot To Assassinate The chOsen One which they've used their Li'l Orphan Annie Ovaltine decoder rings to uncover.

They're apparently worried about the crazytalk by the Freepers. As opposed to the calm discourse that graced the darker corners of Democratic Underground these last eight years. Remember? About how the righteous proletariat was going to rise up and throw off the chains of oppression in glorious revolution when Darth Cheney and Karl Rove nullified the election and used their legions of mindless Blackwater zombies to take over America? Yeah, that.

Anyway, relax there, Gladys Kravitz. I'm sure the Presidential Security Detail appreciates you guys monitoring the internets for them. I know it all feels very "McGruff's Crime Dog Club" to you, but it's actually a little overblown and... well... silly, okay?

(H/T to Unc.)

BONUS!:
"Ah, another comment from booksbikesboomsticks.

What are you guys? High schoolers? College freshman?

Don't you have an exam to study for or paper you should be writing?

You might try being a normal teenager/college student and try getting laid on facebook instead of hanging out on my stinky, old-lady Gladys blog.

Nite-nite, kiddies.
"
This from a grad student. I feel so... so... young!

DOUBLE BONUS!: Reasoned discourse has broken out. Again.

  1. Wow. Just, wow. I read through those comments and I'm pretty sure some of the crazy rubbed off on me. I think I'll go take a shower.

  2. The crazy might have rubbed off on me. But it was so incoherent at times I can't be sure if I read what I thought I read.

  3. We just thought the moonbat Left was nuts, (which they are) they think we're dangerous. (Which we could be if we wanted)

  4. I actually feel sorry for the poor Secret Service type who had to take those phone calls! (Laughing so hard I'm coughing.)

"Yes mam, (snort, giggle, referring to database canned answer) someone's had that thought before. Thank you for calling. (hangs up) Harry, damnit, you get the next one of these people!"

" Not me, I got mine yesterday. Looonnng extension cords on electric cars for the President's limo!"

  5. Gosh! Jeepers! Seems some folks sure can spin up in a hurry! I kinda feel for the Secret Service and FBI field agents who daily have to face mining yet another mountain of expired bandini special without flinching or even a momentary lapse. The weirder things get, the deeper folks may stress out and actually think less and less. It feels like fewer and fewer folks look at second and third order consequences.

  6. Keep your eyes peeled Tam. Have any black Crown Vic's been shadowing you?

  7. "Gladys Kravitz"?

Tam, you are showing your age unless you watched that on reruns. Just the other day I was just thinking about Elizabeth Montgomery (star of the show where Gladys was a character)--as an object of a particular teenage male thoughts several decades ago.

  8. McGruff's Crime Dog Club

    I can't help but imagining a dog in a trenchcoat carrying a blood-stained cudgel.

  9. From the post:

And let me say this to anyone who wants to minimize this or make excuses for these rightwing domestic terrorists-- your comments will be deleted. This post is not open for debate.

More reasoned discourse from the left

  10. This is my favorite post by Jessica (Skyewriter): "I admire the fact that you have kept your comments open; I know it's been exhausting."

Complete and utter bullshit. All of my posts on Catherine's site were deleted for merely disagreeing with her opinion. I was not belligerent, rude, or condescending in any of my posts there.

Now by the looks of it Jessica is following suit. Is anyone surprised?

  11. They're welcome to come comment here. I won't delete anything.

No matter how badly they get their lunch eaten...

  12. They got rid of that post. Out of fear. Or your using her real name.

  13. But- but- but he thinks that gun is ILLEGAL!!!

Unless you've got a pre-existing condition, I don't think that level of dumbass can rub off on you, so it can't hurt to look. On the other hand, when you can get PSH displays just by turning on the evening news, why risk it?

  14. OK ... and she has a Guy Fawkes mask as her avatar.

Does she advocate anarchism, or blowing up congress?

Or would this be an over-reaction on my part?

( I made a similar post on her blog ... we'll see how she handles something as threatening as sarcasm )

  15. These are the clowns that made it out of the usenet sewers and discovered that a blog was the perfect place to bloviate and have totalitarian control of any comment made.

Sadly, its what passes for discourse from the left.

  17. Fer Christ Sake, they made a movie about assassinating GW Bush.

    Somehow, that shit was ok?

Another example of college tuition wasted.

  18. I find it funny she told me to "get a sense of humor" right when she turned off comments.

It should have been obvious that my comment was dripping with sarcasm.

And Tam, not just a grad student, I believe she said she's going for her DOCTORATE.

  19. Meh, grad student's a grad student. Easy lay. No party favors.

  20. I would love to have a look inside her brain to see how she came to the idea that the gun is probably illegal too.

    The stupid, it burns!

  21. It isn't until you read that loada from the ominously-typefaced Woods of November the Fifth, how far adrift the left has come from reality -- and from the common folks with common sense.

I really can't see a one of them ever standing up at the risk of their life to defend the innocent, or their freedom, or even themselves.

And the 'illegal' gun comment took the cake. Clueless and double clueless. If the Blogger thinks it is just exhausting to deal with providing a rational defense or mounting a rational offense in the world of ideas, whot the hell is she doing there? Lazy bunch, them.

Mebbe I should just escort her over to a sporting clay or trapshooting board. Then she can spend hours reading scathing and structured attacks on the other fellow's chokes, loads, firearm, and his entire life history. Now THERE is some industrious argument. Sheesh.

Well, good for a grin, but i wouldn't want to hang out wit' 'em.

  22. Is the date November Fifth somehow connected to gunpowder?

    ReplyDelete
  23. "Remember, remember the fifth of November.
    Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.
I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason
    Should ever be forgot."

Personally, I just get a huge kick out of the fact that the Gunpowder Plot is memorialized at britannia.com under "kaboom.html".

  24. Lookee there, Cossack does term papers so good, he puts in footnotes and everything.

    You pass the exam.

Hey gang, ecstasy at the malt shop later? After the game?

  26. She seems to be laboring under the impression that site visits mean *ka-ching* Google-Ad revenue. Is that possible without clicking-through or is it just more windy sky-pie economic illiteracy at work?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dirtcrashr - I'm pretty sure those ads must be clicked on to generate revenue.

Then again, we aren't dealing with the sharpest folks over there now are we?

    ReplyDelete
  28. That's what I was thinkin' and I didn't see anything anywhere over there that warranted the slightest click.

    ReplyDelete
  29. She never did answer my question about Guy Fawkes.

I think advocating blowing up Congress, no matter how good an idea that may be, is kinda unlawful in the country.

I did notice that she blew her stack after my post. Hopefully this wasn't a coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  30. She's a grad student working on a Doctorate with lots of student loans to pay off, yet she claims not to take any government assistance. I know there are student loans that are not connected to government programs, but I doubt that all of her's are of that type.

  32. I wonder if she had the same opinion of this stuff

    when it was going on.

Probably not as it was just rational dissent and protected speech.
