Is it just me...

...or did CNN stop just short of slipping Pugsley some tongue in this piece?

I guess they feel a lot better about getting openly moist and runny about Marxism these days...

Well, far be it from us here at VFTP Command Central to miss an opportunity to salute our jowly comrade to the south! Congratulations, SeƱor Pugsley, on a whole decade of inept comic opera socialism, buoyed on a tide of Yanqui petrodollars! You've survived the administration of the great devil Bush, and the effete current occupant of 1600 Penna. Avenue is obviously no threat, so get down with your bad self! Maybe Barry can loan you some ACORN help for your upcoming referendum...

  1. If the demand and price of oil don't increase dramatically in the next year or so, Pugsly could be an ex communist dictator wannabe. I see a wall, a blindfold, and a cigarette in his near future.

  2. If I only cared about the fat cockroach, I'd note that Pugsley is an awesome moniker for him. Ah, well.

  4. Plantative cry from cnn person,
"Do you have any idea how difficult it is to give tongue while holding on to one's ankles? Even after years of practice?"

  5. The U.S. needs oil? Well, yeah, but so does Venezuela. And Chavez has the problem of outspending his income from oil, since his social/subsidy programs require oil to be somewhere above $100/bbl as a break-even.

One other tiny leetle problem--and you gotta halfway admire the guy's chutzpah--is that most of his gasoline is refined at Corpus Christi.

  6. "We won't accept disrespect from anyone," he said, adding that respect from the United States must include all of Latin America.

After a short break for herbal enhancement, Chavez shouted, "Don' diss mis vatos locos, maricon!"
