"The party of fiscal responsibility."
So, remember, as they took Congress back from the GOP, who had been spending money like swabbie on leave in Manila, all the yammering from the left back in '06 about "fiscal responsibility"?
Tam, go see this. There isn't a politician in this country who can speak in that manner, even with a teleprompter. We could use a truckload, couldn't we?
It helps if you start with the operative assumption that 80 percent of all politicians are motivated by money, by power, or by sex. (In the past I would have said "or by women" but we is all progressive now.) They mouth the slogans and push the causes of the group they happened to fall into, but deep down it's all about bling, getting your ring kissed or getting off.
