DET 1, ATL 3.

I watched my first televised Braves game in about a year. Granted, it was an exhibition game, but the real deal starts Sunday.

It appears that Francouer has remembered what he's supposed to do with that stick he's holding.

That Traitor Smoltz is still wearing the wrong uniform.

  1. Ted Turner traded John Smoltz?
    When did that happen?

Oh the inhumanity of it all, now he'll never get that 2nd World Series ring.

fwiw... I was going through some boxes I had packed up from my last move and found my October 29th, 1995 copy of the AJC aka Urinal Constipation. 1 guess as to what was front page news.

  3. As I recall the Braves made him an almost insulting offer, all things considered.

$3.5 Million more up front is a lot of reason to come to Boston. If he comes back as strongly as the early indications show, we're going to love this guy.

  5. I've lived in the metro Atlanta area for most of my life (20 years out of 24) and I've only been to about 5 Braves games. I also don't care much for sports in general and very rarely watch any of it on TV. Am I going to hell?

  6. Ahem, Anon, Smoltz is not a Yankee. He plays for the Red Sox. :D

    Go Sox!

The good news is that I do have Oleg's cellie #.
The bad news is that it's somewhere on my desk, 400 miles away. :(

I am looking at the Third National, and there does not seem to be a star for Massachusetts. This means that he is now certainly a yankee, if not a Yankee.
