Overheard at the gun show...

Looking at some really good gun belts, under a sign reading "AMISH LEATHER BELTS":

Me: "Who knew the Amish had such thick hides?"

RX: "Have you ever tried skinning one? Oh, they make such a fuss! It's a good thing they're pacifists, because they look like they'd probably bite you if they weren't, and then you'd have to stun 'em or something."

  1. As the owner of several British motorcycles over the years, the Lucas jokes just prove that the best comedy is based on truth.

Company motto - "Be home by dark!"

Did you know that Lucas once made a vacuum sweeper? The only thing they ever made that didn't suck.

  2. Around Decatur you could sometimes find Amish roadkill, usually as a result of a buggy dragrace. If you can get to the scene quickly enough, dressing them out is fast and convenient.

  4. Old joke told when shopping for bargains outside the gate of Osan AB, Korea:

Q: How many Koreans does it take to make a leather jacket?

A: At least 3. Koreans are kinda small.

Word Verification: Begul. It takes even more Beguls to make a leather jacket...

  5. Heh. Way back a friend had his wife nearly in tears, claiming that naugahyde-covered furniture used only new-born nauga as the skin of adults was too friable.

I've got an ex-S-I-L that gullible. Think I'll work that one the next time I see her.
