Hungry for breakfast in my neighborhood?
Just in case you can't get a seat at Cafe Patachou or Petite Chou, Zest, or Taste, Mama Carolla's (zomgbestitalianinindy!) is opening a new brunch joint right next door to their main restaurant called Good Morning Mama's.
Obviously the fact that there are four gourmet breakfast joints in a 1 mile radius with lines out the door every Saturday and Sunday morning means that there is still room in that market niche.
So you want me to stop making the croissants tonight?
ReplyDeleteI thought so. :-)
Can't wait to try it!
Hard to go hungry in Broad Ripple!

wv: examina...ya'll been examina lot o' them fancy chou joints.
My quandry and paradox regarding all places resembling Broad Ripple (Chicago's Wicker Park & Bucktown, I'm looking at you), where do the locals make their big bucks to support so many nice, posh, and expensive places in such a tight footprint? Where everyone looks like they get dressed from the Salvation Army and can't afford bus fare much less than a $5 latte, but can afford to eat out at a different delightful niche place daily, or so it seems. Heck, I saved up for a week to come to Blogmeet. I'm not knocking, I'm really wondering. It can't be all foreigners from Carmel and the rich burbs coming in.
ReplyDeleteIf you look around in Broad Ripple, the entire economy seems to be based on doing each other's hair. And getting tipped for pulling lattes.
