Hah, that's great. Could also be 'high-powered assault rifle', 'cop killer', 'designed to defeat body armor', 'designed to spray bullets', etc.
I already left the comment on the AZ Rifleman blog, but the car is a British-market Ford Cortina Mark III. Looks like a '72 (the plate seems to end with a "J" which makes it a 72 or 73.
