Where I work (Sea Launch), we have cameras about 10 FEET from the pad. They're enclosed in a 1/2" thick steel enclosure with a 2" thick abalative coating, and a two layer borosilicate glass window. The outer window usually gets trashed, but generally the inner window stays intact.
Didja read the comments? I didn't read them all, but they were running about 50% people saying "Pffft . . . the timer did all the work, that guy sucks."
WOW!
ReplyDeleteAmazing.
I don't know what the cost of equipment damaged to get that shot was.. but it was worth it.
