The next size down from "mouse gun"...

Via a post at Unc's, I have discovered the Ruger SSCP 180. Would this be a "shrew gun"?

(Of course the fictional Ruger would still dwarf the very factual 2mm Kolibri.)

  1. Thank you for my lunch-surfing laugh-link of the day...that's a great post, and written completely in the "gun-riter" style of so many magazines.

  3. I'd have to call it a bug gun, rather than a shrew gun. I've had experience with shrews, and comparing them to mice is like comparing a wolverine to a poodle.

  6. I should have gone with the whole "you dawg, I heard you liked back up guns" angle.

  7. A hoot Ma'am. And let's not forget the 5mm Velo-Dog, which actually works. Sometimes the French can suprise you.

Imagine a turn of the century Paris, with thousands of people riding bicycles, all with a bitty little revolver clamped to the handlebars in case of an attack by hooligans, two legged or four.

    Quite civilized really.

  8. That man's a genius. Am sure the Usual Suspects (Brady, Bloomberg, et. al.) will be soon protesting this "micro-gun" that can "slip past all known detection devices" and, like the FN FiveseveN, the preferred weapon of big game hunters.
Have large bowls of *snark* handy.

  10. "Gas Operated" ROFLMAO!!!

Hey,International Shooters Service still sells 4mm Kurz/4mm zimmerstutzen. And there are still a few people around who shoot these "target only" rifles.

    Brilliant article. I lol'ed. I sure did.

  11. Stretch--
Let's not let them in on the secret; at least until they've gotten elbow-deep in a campaign to ban this "criminal's weapon of choice".

  12. Oh, that is too, too funny.

My only complaint on the whole "article" is that I wish the .180 had been placed beside a .22LR for a better comparison.

A marvel of engineering and manufactoring!

  13. I immediately spotted it as a fake, because why would Ruger name their new round "ACP?"
