Like a fever dream come true...

Tactical Golf Cart? How did I miss this?

No word as to whether the elite Food Court Team 6 at Mall of America will get to trial those babies in prototype form. (Although, even with their current Cushmans, they can be deployed at a “skater in progress” call anywhere in the mall in less than 20 minutes.)

  1. How the hell do you do that, Tam?

I can't tell you how awful it is to have been born with a seriously atrophied snark-bone, and face this from you every damned day.

I'm jealous, and no: there oughtn't be a law.

    Dammit.

  2. Rumor has it that the man standing next to the cart is none other than Gecko45.

  3. Didn't I see something like this in *The Big U*?

When I looked at that little cutie, I suffered instant nostalgia.

"1962 Volkswagen Beetle + 4 strong college boys=(you fill in the blank-let your imagination roam unfettered)"

We could have contests-mall cretins vs. frat boys.

5 point spread on the frat boys.

    WV: mallad

How on earth did they make make a context-sensitive WV?

  6. John Peddle:

When I was in High School one of the lady teachers drove a Renault Dauphine (Yeah, I'm dating myself) and it was amazing where the football team could make that thing turn up after school. One time I went out through the parking lot and it was riding, perfectly balanced, on one of the pipe lot barriers that surrounded the lot...

  7. Tiger Woods can use it to escape from his angry, club-wielding wife.

  8. Does it come with a matching wheelbarrow?

  9. Grant,

    I know Gecko45, I worked with Gecko45, and that, sir, is no Gecko45. ;)

  10. No Weer'd, but it does have a space for a roll of duct tape and trauma plates.

  11. If it came from the mind of Gecko45it would have a turret and tracks.

It does have a seat for the mayors son.

  12. Cap'n Chumbucket and John Peddie, I must be old too. I remember being a skinny 13 year old Sea Explorer and, along with a few buddies, half lifting, half bouncing our counsellor's Dauphine around the corner and stuffing it behind a Chevy pickup.

I also remember from TV some loser at a gas station accidently filling the radiator of a Dauphin with fuel instead of water (the twistoffs were right next to each other in the back). The little FrogMobile made it less than two blocks before exploding.

Ahhh... what passed for humor in my misspent youth.

  13. Sudden "Oh Shit" moment. Tam, I just found a 6.8mm bolt in my glovebox. Tell me yours arrived with the barrel!

  14. I got a bolt. Should I go check to make sure it's a 6.8?

    ReplyDelete
  15. No, if you got it, it's a 6.8. I think I still owe Rodney Wells one, to go with the 24" 6.8 bull barrel he tickled me out of.

He's sitting on some M-1 parts I need for son #2, who's stuck in L.A. and can't have an AR.

O.K., I'm off the hook for that one. Now I just have to get you that forend extension.

If you need any min-headspace 5.56 bolts, whistle. Got bags of them.

  16. I completely forgot commenting over there, at first I was outraged that someone was claiming to be me... Then I realized it was me...

Shocked the hell out of Mrs. Drang while reading Michael Williamson's Better To Beg Forgiveness, hadn't dreamed he would have the gall to include real mall ninjas--especially to have them save the (well, a) day!

  17. Ed - Son in LA can build a CA legal AR, it's become one of our favorite pastimes here - you just have to put a bullet-button on it.

  18. Working on a Cal-legal lower, but the whole thing depresses me.

The only thing good about not having the conventional magazine is that I can have an integral Mauser style box big enough for .35Remington.

Still, wait until you see the load mechanism;-) Not giving it away until it's been approved, too many ways to copy it.
