I have an old single action rimfire that my father got in trade in the early '70s. It is one of the most accurate pistols I have ever shot. Of course somebody put a LOT of work into the trigger.
Uh wow, When do I get the coveted title of "Thread Killer" around here? Sorry!
What is frustrating about the P3 is that I have two and the other one is "Cadillacing" right now but still...
I don't know, but I am going to try out a S&W Bodyguard .380 as soon as I can, whenever they show up. I do like the pocket stuff, cannot carry the Detective Special revolver or 1911 as well in the summer.
Heh. I actually have one of the little beasts that I keep around to show new shooters, and tell them that they are very unlikely to ever hold a worse firearm in their hands. It doesn't get fired; I figure most of them have already self-destructed and it's getting rare! Besides, I'll probably never have an English "best gun" so I've settled for a German "worst gun".
Wow, Clerkes and Rohm, I've had one of each. Neither could shoot for toffee. I've made better pistols. I have a hi-point .45 that's approaching 1000 rounds. Also a 9mm that I don't know how many rounds have gone through it.
I just finished inspecting the frames and slides under a loupe for stress cracks. You did have me worried for a moment.
there was one NIB at the gunshow last weekend ... the dealer wanted $125.00 for it ... i was tempted but i really wanted the 4" vent ribbed barrel with 'target' sights...
I'm sorry, who? Rohm? Are they the equivalent of Raven Arms here?
ReplyDeleteRG revolvers. Pot metal wonders from an earlier age.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't seen one, you're a better person for it.
The only worse mass produced modern commercial firearm I can think of off the top of my head is the Clerke.

ReplyDelete@Tam- I have not seen one. I am grateful for the advice!
ReplyDeleteMy Kel-Tek P3-AT is worthless even after a trip back for repairs, does that count as well?
(Flame on in 3...2...1...!)
K.
Not a big fan of the little Kel Tecs myself.

Any thoughts on the new bodyguards?

ReplyDeleteIs Hi-Point a division of Rohm?
