That said, while I find Kagan to be a terrible selection for Supreme Court justice, who says that belief in a God is a requisite for wisdom or moral decisions? I assure you, when I'm looking at a potential Supreme Court Justice, I check their judicial record, not whether they profess to hold a Christian faith. Implying that Kagan's fault lies in being an atheist, rather than her liberal stance, is insulting to a lot of fiscally conservative atheists and agnostics - most of the Libertarian party.
God doesn't have a monopoly on moral decisions, and he's often soft on civil rights.
