Because I'm occasionally all stats-geeky...

The top ten referring blogs to VFTP over the past month have been:
  1. Say Uncle
  2. The Lawdog Files
  3. SurvivalBlog
  4. The Adventures of Roberta X
  5. Snowflakes In Hell
  6. Instapundit
  7. The Smallest Minority
  8. The View From North Central Idaho
  9. Pistol-Training.com
  10. Gun Nuts Media

Thank you!

  2. You're welcome! I can tell you what a Tamalanche does for my traffic stats!

  3. Crap.

Note to self - lift more stuff from Tam's blog.

  4. Had a whole long comment about many things but then re-read VFTP and realized that Tam was talking about View From The Porch, sigh, so I deleted the almost passionate rant and found Google's Word Verification was meant just for me.

  5. Meh. They're all big an' stuff, 'cuz they're all sell-outs!

(At least, that's what I cry myself to sleep thinking. . . )

  8. Comment self deleted for excessive idiocy. Carry on.

  9. It's an incestuous club.

I haven't run the actual numbers but I'm pretty sure you are #2 (after Say Uncle) in my referrals.

  10. Joe,

    To an extent.

I consciously try to spread my links out. Plus, who I'm reading a lot changes from week to week anyway.

  11. At some point do the reverse and see where readers go from your blog. I'm sure I'm not the only one who starts at VFTP and goes to Jay G, Marko, Breda, Uncle, and so forth. There are only a few others I go to directly without stopping here first. Don't sell yourself short.

  12. Tam,

You don't directly link to me all that often. I get nearly all of the referrals from your site just from the "Joe Huffman: Mr. Boomershoot" link.

  13. Some of us make things difficult by:
    a) using RSS feed
    b) disabling scripts
    c) setting referer header off
    d) all of the above

Sitemeter still counts the hits and gives limited stats, though.

  14. True.

(In this case, I got these from Google Analytics, which seems slightly more complete.)

  15. I always get here from Jay's, but I use his blogroll. I don't know how that impacts your stats.
