A place for everything, and everything in its place.

Books on shelves, slings on long guns, and pistols in holsters.

Apparently, the dude was carrying his Glock rattling around loose in his pocket, along with other assorted pocket impedimenta, and not a holster in sight.

Pistols. Belong. In. Holsters.

  2. Destroy the G36? Better tear down that bar too...it and the gun are responsible for this shit, not teh stoopid.

Naked pocket carry is for NAA's and Elsie's (duck and cover).

  4. Behold, the consequences of pocket carry.

Pocket carry gets another one shot AND convicted.

  5. I carry in my pocket. In a holster.

It will not get me or anybody else shot or convicted. Because it's in a proper holster.

  6. Oh man. I have a buddy that carries a Glock 17 loaded in his pocket without a holster. I've offered to show him how to carry it, and even give him a holster for free if he'll just give me an hour of his time.

    Dang, where is his number. . . . .

  7. I got 2 pocket pistols. I got 2 pocket pistols holsters, too. I had the holster BEFORE the pistol even got home. My legs and feet are abused enough without any extra holes in them.

  8. Not to be too crass, but if he had only punctured his femoral artery he would have removed himself from any further contamination of the gene pool.

    Just sayin', that's all..

wv: taculled...yeah, he would have been culled, fersure...

  9. Why are they punishing the gun?

  10. Sig P238 front pocket gun, in holster, and carry condition three. Zero chance of an ND. Approx 1/4sec penalty for CC3. Bigger time penalty for having to fish the Sig out from around the Benchmade Griptilian. Acceptable for a backup gun, imo.

  11. My 642 rides in a Mika pocket holster. Just the smart way to go about life.

  12. "Why are they punishing the gun?"

Because prosecutors and judges (often the same) are animists. The gun has evil spirits.

  13. People actually just stick guns in their pockets without holstering them? Really? I thought that went out around the time they invented seat belts.

  14. You can't fix stupid. A pocket holster costs what, $20? Safety aside, it makes pocket carry a lot more comfortable.

  15. +1 on the Mika. Mine's still a Model 60, 3" and sights. Nothing else will fit in my pocket along with that package, fortunately.

Say - who's running the pool on when Mr. Latham sues Gaston for negligent trigger design?

  16. Here in the buckeye, the firearm must be carried in a holster. Period. Every time the Highway Patrol pulls me over and have the portable scales weigh my dump truck, I get a comment/reminder about "pocket carry without a holster" when they see me 'El Cheapo' holster ...

  17. I like to use a "Saf-T-Blok" behind the trigger of my Glock. I cut the padlock tab at the thru-hole, so it stops at the edge of the triggerguard. This keeps it from being pushed out of place until you push it with your trigger finger.

I set this up so I could carry it in a soft holster. It even keeps the slide from moving.
It will also fit in a regular holster with the tab removed. Not sure I would use it that way, though.

An interesting side benefit is mine is for a left hand. It can't be dislodged by a right hander. It just feels like a frozen trigger.

I occassionally stick it in a back pocket to go outside the house at night. Got some BIG coyotes that wander across the road from the ranch at night.
