Thanks, the Vietnam service and his fine books I knew about - but that he seriously rides a fast motorcycle, I should have stopped to visit as I rolled through North Carolina - but he would have been out of town... and reading his writing is always better than meeting folks.

Of course it helps that I've met the man (First picture, Sept 2001 book tour,Books&Co) grew up not too far from his home town, and went to the same university, albeit 10 years or so later
Nice webpage indeed. I think I've read most of his stuff, which didn't seem like a big deal until I took a look at the whole list. Dang! No wonder I don't get much done around here.
