Are you superstitious? The last Assault Weapons Ban in Congress was HR.1022. The House magazine ban bill is HR.308, the Senate S.32. The FAA bill is S.223. I feel that the universe may be conspiring against us on this one.Okay, when I see HR.4570 or S.3220, I'm officially going to think something's up...
They may be on to something. Texas' 30.06 sounds fishy to me.

ReplyDeleteWe had a Georgia SB 308 that liberalized a lot of our carry laws and scrubbed the "Public Gathering" language from Ga Code.

You find that, with the combination of metric calibers, and inch calibers being expressed in various ways (30, 300, 307, 308. 7.5, & 7.62 all pertain to the same bore size for example) it's hard NOT to hit on a number that doesn't pertain to a caliber or gun model. -- Lyle

ReplyDeleteI started doing this with local bus routes. Curiously the bigger calibers tend to travel through less safe neighborhoods.

ReplyDeleteIf as someone at Sebastian's said, bill sponsors choose the number as an inside tweak of gunowners, they might want to rethink their strategy, considering the recent success rate of anti legislation.

ReplyDeleteLesse, it's a two year session of congress, that's 500 working days for you or me, or 300 for our hard-working, 3 day workweek public masters, I mean, servants. So bill 4500 would mean 15 bills per day being written, likely still with 0.003 bills per day being read. Those would be the short bills, to rename post offices and stuff.
